I'm not dead - June 13, 2008, 09:57:43 AM

Well, it's kinda funny. The last <number> weeks ago have been something of a blur for me. I'm not sure exactly how long it's been, but it feels like an eternity.

My absence has mostly been due to a total and complete lack of will to make comics. I've stared for hours on end at a canvas in Photoshop, my mind as blank as the screen before me. Metaphor, etc.

This, in turn, has been caused by working bizarre hours, at times working two long shifts with only a few hours of sleep in between. This is a physical drain, but also a mental drain.

And, the best part is that I can't change anything! Wooh!

Since I don't really want to share my life story, and all the blah blah blah, it'll have to suffice for me to say that until I can move, I'm stuck in a dead-end, low paying stressful job. And, since I'm working minimum wage, and still have to live, that will take quite some time.

(Side note: If anyone in the GTA (Not Liberty City, mind you) is looking for a room mate, I would like to talk to you.)

And, to put the cherry on the cake, my desk fan has spontaneously decided to start vibrating off its perch on my PC tower. I suspect that it's become possessed by an evil spirit.

Ok, got that off my chest. So, when will I be making comics? Dunno. But, I vow that I will soon, especially since we're so close to the 1-year anniversary. Anyway, I probably won't be around much until then. Sorry everyone...

Hmm. - May 22, 2008, 01:11:24 PM

5 hours, I sat down to write a big long rant about something. I forget what it was, although it seemed really important at the time.

Then, I played this.

For anyone with even a passing familiarity with Penny Arcade, the fact that they were making a game is not a surprise. Honestly, I wasn't quite expecting what they delivered. It's a blend of RPG and action game which is difficult to describe, but when you get used to it, it just feels... right.

Anyway, the quirky storyline and Tycho's unique style of humour really make it feel like it's a big, long, animated, 3d, interactive Penny Arcade comic, and that's a good thing. My only regret is that it's not very long. However, since it's "Episode One", that particular regret is moot.

So, I guess that what I'm trying to say is that if you haven't played it yet, you should do so now.

PS: Guess why there's no comic

Heh heh... heh... - May 09, 2008, 02:48:08 PM

Ok ok, so I lied.

No, scratch that. I was... "mistaken". Yes, that's the ticket. Mistaken.

Anyway, I've got two for you today, and I'll put two more up tomorrow, and the last one on Sunday (if all goes to plan).

In the mean time, Youtube video time:
